This work’s challenge was to reinvent the frequently depicted, iconic scene of “Scotland’s worst toilet.” Mark’s intertwinement with drugs and ultimate loss of self is represented through the color scheme, which I based on the mix of blood and heroin that happens during an injection. I used digital painting and analog textures to bring the scene to life.
