Holy Cow
Zeitgeist Films, Kino Lorber — Official Key Art
Holy Cow (Vingt Dieux), directed by Louise Courvoisier, follows Totone, a young Frenchman suddenly forced to grow up after his father’s unexpected death, leaving him to care for his little sister and their struggling family farm. He assumes even more responsibility when he enters a cash competition for the best Comte cheese of the French Alps. A “verité” look at the hardscrabble life of French agriculture and a heartfelt tribute to the French enduring passion for cheese. My poster reflects the rough-around-the-edges yet resourceful spirit of these characters, who together manage to craft something big out of scraps.
