Better Angels is a documentary series, directed by Dana Adam Shapiro, retelling the story of American icon Tammy Faye Messner as told by her family, friends, and enemies.The poster was commissioned for the release of the documentary at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival.To create this poster, I used more than 375 shots from the series, placed by hand, from relatives recalling memories to live shows and news bits. It is representative of the way she gathered people, of her multifaceted personality, but also of the way she was put in a box. While distanced it may seem like we see the whole picture, life is often more complex, and what appears to be reality could just well be a TV screen.
